By accessing or using PreScree, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

PreScree is an AI-powered movie taste matching service. Users build a personal taste profile (favorite genres, moods, and movies) and receive AI-generated compatibility analyses, spoiler-free teasers, and recommendations for movies they are considering watching.

To use most features, you must create an account using a valid email address or sign in with Google. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Providing accurate information during signup
• Notifying us promptly of any unauthorized use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse our API endpoints
• Upload or share content that is harmful, harassing, hateful, or infringing
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
• Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

The PreScree name, logo, design, and original code are our intellectual property. Movie metadata, posters, and trailers are provided by TMDB and remain the property of their respective owners. AI analyses are generated by Anthropic's Claude model.

You retain ownership of the content you submit (taste profile, ratings, reviews) but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to store and display that content as needed to operate the service.

PreScree is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Match scores, verdicts, teasers, and other AI-generated outputs are opinions, not guarantees. They are produced by a language model based on training data and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. You should use your own judgment when deciding what to watch.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PreScree and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service, including but not limited to disappointment with a movie recommendation.

You may delete your account at any time from the profile settings page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Upon termination, your right to use PreScree ends immediately.

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of PreScree after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the service operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
